    Fruits Basket

Fruits Basket is one of my favorite romance animes, and to be honest I probably cried every other episode. It always finds a way to bring in humor, while establishing some of the main themes of the show: accepting others, understanding others and improving yourself. This anime tells the story of Tohru Honda, an orphan girl who, after meeting Yuki, Kyo, and Shigure Soma, learns that twelve members of the Soma family are possessed by the animals of the Chinese zodiac and are cursed to turn into their animal forms when they are weak, stressed, or when they are embraced by anyone of the opposing gender. The storyline and overall message of the characters, really pull it all together, and it helps tell us that Life cares not for our emotions, as tragedy strikes without a moments notice. And Due to our finite existence, we are bound to lose someone special. But we mustn’t allow ourselves to become trapped by emotions. Life moves forward, and so must we. Despite the uncertainty in her volatile life, Tohru Honda remains optimistic in the face of despair. Her daily struggles are physically and mentally taxing, yet she persists. Pressing forward with determination of mind and body. Turning an unfortunate circumstance into a springboard to cultivate a new life for herself.

Ao Haru Ride ( Blue Spring Ride)

When I first watched Ao Haru Ride, I was first shocked by how well the soundtrack fit the backround, colors, and mood of the anime. The music was perfectly placed taking you along the journey of the characters. And whenever the characters were nervous, happy, or scared, I could feel it all. Along with that, I loved how well written and realistic the storyline and characters were. And honestly without overcomplicating it, I just enjoyed it and thought it was super lighthearted and sweet. This anime follows a group of characters as they go through the typical teenage problems and life drama. It really is a typical coming of age plus romance story, but the realism of it made me happy.

    Orange

I definitely suggest watching this anime, but warning:BRING A BOX OF TISSUES BECAUSE YOU'RE GONNA CRY. This story is thick. The intriguing romantic plot is one thing; but character design is absolutely gold. The story of Orange truly starts ten years in the future where a girl named Naho and her close friends from high school experience sadness and regret over the fact that they were unable to prevent the death of their friend Kakeru. Filled with this sadness and regret, they write letters to themselves ten years in the past with instructions on how to save Kakeru’s life. By some miracle, the letters actually make it to their high school selves. Now guided by these letters, Naho and her friends set out to change the future in order to save Kakeru

Snow White With The Red Hair

While it doesn't do much to distinguish itself among the anime landscape, Snow White with the Red Hair is nonetheless a pleasant and vibrant fantasy anime that absolutely nails the romance aspect, making it a no-brainer for fans of that particular genre. And its enjoyable, which in the end is probably the only thing that matters. Shirayuki was a young girl born with unique apple-red hair. While traversing through the forests, she meets a young boy, Zen, who helps her after she boldly cures his wounds but then gets poisoned by an apple given to Shirayuki.
